The solution? Replace the plunger tube!

Ooooooooh! Shiny! |
That tube is a 12" section of 1 1/2" PVC Solvent-Weld Extension Tube, for use in the plumbing under your sink. Remember that for future reference in your projects - aside from the bell/coupling end (which can also fit in 1 1/4" SCH40 PVC fittings), the dimensions are identical to that of the polycarbonate tubing used in +bows.
Here's the fit inside the shell!

Purely by accident, it was the right length without really measuring my cuts. |
I'll have instructions up soon for building this. The blaster works, so that's a victory in itself. I will test ranges soon, then post a write-up!
Finally, I thought I'd highlight another recent mod. Rob over at Southern Brisbane Nerf Club has been working on converting a Nerf Centurion into a direct plunger blaster, with a discussion occurring in this Reddit thread.
As you can see, Rob put some extensive work into converting this blaster. So take a peek!
That blaster brained my damage

Deleteya, i got from my friend and i opened it, threw away pretty much everything and carved out the ribs of the shell and other stuff, then i slap in a titan air tank, with its pump, and gave it like a 3 foot 1/2" pvc barrel.
